Whoa! This Piece is Hot! Seriously though- it is a low-fire ceramic sculpture approximately 18″ across. It was intended to be an element of a 3 piece interlocking ceramic lamp that I made in early 2006. It is a little bit oceanic and also has somewhat of the appearance of a blossoming flower or a bad-ass, krazy alien thingy.
These are my small ceramic tiles. They are approximately 6″ x 4″ or so. The tile with the goofy spirit escaping from the lifeless body of Socrates is based on my interpretation of the writings of Plato. The tile “Beer is Dinner”, is in the collection of the master craftsman Joesph “Kamakazee” Kamm. That lucky bastard!
